
SALISBURY, Md. - Trilby K. Moore, 86, of Salisbury and formally of Northern Virginia, died on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at her home. She was born on July 7, 1926 to the late George and Margaret Kalvin. Born and raised in Syracuse, NY, Trilby was active in athletics and music. After graduating from high school and after prescreening, she was selected to come to Washington, D.C. and work in the Pentagon during WWII. She was an avid golfer, bridge player and Redskins Fan for 50 years, attending every home game for most of those years. She was active in the Boy's Club and Little League Auxiliary of Falls Church, VA in the 1950-60's. Trilby was a 25 year member of the Country Club of Fairfax. She moved to Salisbury, MD in 2006 to be close to her family and the beaches that she enjoyed in Ocean City for over 40 years.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; M. Eddie Moore whom she married in 1946 in Washington, D.C. She is survived by a son; Kalvin Moore of McLean, VA, a daughter; Dr. Margaret "Peggy" Naleppa and her husband Danny of Salisbury, two granddaughters; Renee, Adrienne and her husband Larry, one great-granddaughter; Addison, a brother; George A. Kalvin Jr. of Fort Myers, FL.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The M. Eddie Moore Scholarship Fund, c/o Steamfitters Local 602; 8700 Ashwood Drive, Capital Heights, Md. 20743. Over 45 college students have benefited from this Fund and graduates have entered the fields of medicine, education, accounting and theology.
