DOVER, Del. - Police are looking into a crash where an SUV reportedly drove into a house.
According to Delaware State Police, on Monday around 7:45 AM, Cynthia Bargellini was driving a Jeep Cherokee on South DuPont Highway in Dover, when she veered off the road, hit a few concrete parking blocks and landscaping, before crashing into a bedroom of a home on Leslie Drive.
Police say that two people were sleeping in the bedroom at the time, they were both slightly injured but refused treatment. Bargellini and her two passengers were all wearing seat belts, but had to be removed from the scene by EMS and taken to Kent General where they were all treated for non-life threatening injuries and released.
Bargellini was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, failure to maintain lane of travel, four counts of 2nd degree vehicular assault, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Kent County Building Inspectors say that the home is uninhabitable due to the damages from the crash.
