NEWS 47 NEWS - General Motors is announcing recalls on some of their vehicles because of the potential fire hazard. GM says the recall includes 250,000 mid-sized SUVs that were sold in 20 states and Washington DC. They say that the problem is that fluid can get trapped inside of the drivers door module and cause it to short out the circuit board. In rare cases it can cause a fire, or the power locks and windows to fail. No known crashes of injuries are related to the issue.
The list of vehicles included in the recall are:
- 2006 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT
- 2006 GMC Envoy XL
- 2006 and 2007 Chevrolet TrailBlazer
- 2006 and 2007 GMC Envoy
- 2006 and 2007 Buick Rainier
- 2006 and 2007 Saab 97X
- and 2006 and 2007 Isuzu Ascender
The vehicles were sold or registered in Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin and DC.
