WMDT Crew Faces Off WBOC in Tennis Match

Posted: Updated:

WMDT 47 NEWS- WMDT's own Jenn Falsetti and Marc Adamo hit the tennis courts Saturday morning for a great cause.

The Good Morning Delmarva crew took on the WBOC crew at the ninth annual Jack Purnell-Chris Thomas Memorial Tennis Tournament at Salisbury University.

Professional tennis players have been hitting the courts all week and as Jenn and Marc's coach explains, they have the work ethic of professionals.

"What is really remarkable, is on each them there's one player that has only been playing for a year," says WMDT coach Vaughn Baker.

Jenn and Marc battled WBOC in nine games. Unfortunately in the final round, WBOC took the title winning 8 to 1.

This week-long event wraps up Sunday in the finals. Players are competing for some 30,000 dollars in cash prizes.

Funds raised from this week's event benefit Coastal Hospice.
