GEORGETOWN, Del.-Residents of Georgetown came together Saturday to raise awareness about the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse.
The 19th Annual "Community Anti-Drug Rally and March" was held at the Booker Street Church of God Saturday morning.
The day began with a march down the town's streets and then the fun continued with food and fun for the kids.
Officials were present, providing free information about drug and alcohol abuse and other issues.
Assistant Pastor, Tony Neal organized the event and is passionate about helping families make the right choices. "I came up in this town. At the high school level, I kinda blew it. I got myself into a lot of serious trouble and I was incarcerated a couple of times, I wanted to make a difference in the community. So 19 years ago, and ever since then it's been very successful," says Neal.
The Booker Street Church of God provides outreach programs to families throughout the year.
