WMDT 47 NEWS- According to local health officials in Somerset, Worcester and Wicomico county, mosquitoes in the area have tested positive for the West Nile Virus. As a result, local health officials are now advising residents to be aware of the symptoms and take steps to prevent you and your family from contracting it.
They suggest you and your family to avoid being outside at dawn and dusk and if you have to be, wear long pants and long-sleeves. Also, use mosquito repellent as much as needed. In addition, use air conditioning if possible. Also, empty all types of standing water from outside your home.
