SALISBURY, Md. - A man has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a police officer.
A Wicomico County Sheriff's Deputy responded to a call about a disorderly man at the Temple Hill Motel on South Salisbury Boulevard, where he found Victor Cruz Bautista, visibly intoxicated, and a crowd of hotel guests watching him.
The deputy says they attempted to find his room, but Bautista assaulted the deputy during the search, and wouldn't quiet or sit down. The deputy then reportedly tried to arrest Bautista, but he started flailing his arms, again apparently trying to further assault the deputy, who was eventually able to handcuff and arrest Bautista.
He has been charged with disorderly conduct, 2nd degree assault, and resisting arrest, and is being held at the Detention Center on $7,500 bond.
