Maurice James
SALISBURY, Md. - A Salisbury man has been convicted of attempted rape. Maurice James, 19, was convicted by a jury of attempted 1st degree rape, attempted 2nd degree rape, 3rd degree sexual offence, 2nd degree assault, reckless endangerment and false imprisonment.
Sentencing is expected to happen in 60 days. James could be sentenced to life, plus additional sentences with the included lesser offences.
James was convicted after sexually assaulting and attempting to rape the victim behind Salisbury University's Maggs Gym on March 31st of this year.
