DOVER, Del. (AP) - The Delaware Supreme Court is weighing an appeal by a former pediatrician serving life in prison for sexually abusing scores of young patients.
An attorney for Earl Bradley argued Wednesday that Bradley's conviction should be overturned because police exceeded the scope of a search warrant when they searched his Lewes medical practice in 2009. Bradley claims the warrant did not allow police to search a building where they found homemade videos of his sexual assaults.
He also says the warrant allowed only a limited search for medical files on eight patients, not a general search of the entire property. An attorney for the state said the warrant was appropriate and properly executed. A three-judge panel heard Bradley's appeal in June, but the justices ordered another hearing before the full court.
