OCEAN CITY, Md. - A man reportedly found with his pants down in Ocean City has been charged, after he allegedly assaulted an officer. Ocean City Police say they found Michael McPartland, 28, of New York, in the parking garage of Princess Bayside Hotel on Coastal Highway.

The officer says that he was lying on the hood of a car with his pants and undergarments around his ankles. As the officer was walking up to him, and trying to talk to him, McPartland reportedly became disorderly and was shouting profanity at the officer. His friends tried to calm him down but he apparently became more uncooperative.

Officers say that McPartland showed obvious signs of intoxication and aggressiveness, and they say he started to struggle when they tried to sit him on the ground. According to officers on scene, McPartland swung at them, which lead to a scuffle.

He was arrested, charged with 2 counts of 2nd degree assault of a police officer, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct. He was later released.
