Speed Cameras Active In Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE, Md. - Some friendly advice for motorists in Cambridge: Lay off the lead foot.

Starting Tuesday, August 7th, speed cameras are now out and active around three schools: Maple Elementary, Maces Lane School, and Choptank Elementary.

These cameras will be operating Monday-Friday, from 6am to 8pm, regardless if school is in session or not.

The posted speed limits around Maces Lane School and Choptank Elementary School are as follows:

· 15 MPH Monday-Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm

· 25 MPH Monday-Friday 4:00pm - 7:00am

· 25 MPH Saturday-Sunday

The posted speed limits around Maple Elementary School are as follows:

· 15 MPH Monday-Friday 7:00am - 4:00pm

· 25 MPH Monday-Friday 4:00pm - 7:00am

· 25 MPH Saturday-Sunday
