SALISBURY, Md. - Maryland State Police believe drugs may be behind the cause of a fatal accident in Salisbury.
Police say 38-year-old Tabitha Dobrzynski, of Kensington, PA, was driving south on the U.S. Route 13 bypass just after 2:30 p.m. Sunday. Dobrzynski, who police say was under the influence of drugs, allegedly lost control of her Jeep. As a result, the vehicle overturned and police say an unrestrained 11-year-old female passenger was ejected from the back seat and died.
Authorities say three additional children in the vehicle were taken to Peninsula Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
Dobrzynski was charged with multiple charges including negligent manslaughter by motor vehicle, life threatening injury by motor vehicle-drugs, driving under the influence and possession of CDS. Police say she is currently being held at the Wicomico County Detention Center.
