FELTON, Del. - Two people have been arrested in connection with a shooting that landed one in the hospital. Delaware State Police report that on Friday, July 27th, a man was shot in the face with a small caliber handgun while riding in a vehicle with the two suspects.
They say he was able to get out of the vehicle, and run into a corn field before receiving help at a home on Lords Corner Road, west of Felton. The victim is currently listed in critical but stable condition at Christiana Hospital.
A Police investigation into the incident lead to the arrest of Bruce MacConnell, 28, of Smyrna, and Brenda McMillian, 31, of Felton, who are in a relationship. They were charged with 1st degree reckless endangering, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, and 1st degree conspiracy.
MacConnell was additionally charged with resisting arrested after he fled from police. Both are being held on more than $100,000 bond.
