Violent Sex Offender Apprehended In Worcester Co.

WORCESTER CO., Md. - Police have put a wanted sex offender behind bars.

Maryland State Police report that a trooper stopped a moped, and after giving multiple fake names, an investigation showed that the driver was really Larry Gregory, a registered violent sex offender and fugitive from justice.

They say Gregory fled from Fredericksburg, Virginia after removing his GPS tracking ankle bracelet in April. Charges are pending for failing to register in Maryland as a sex offender, but Gregory is being held without bond until extradition proceedings.
