Safety Changes For Bay Bridge Weather Closures

MARYLAND - AAA Mid-Atlantic is applauding the Maryland Transportation Authority for updating policies on when to close the Chesapeake Bay Bridge due to weather.

Changes include upgrading the warning weather system so that the Bridge may be closed quicker when strong wind gusts hit, installing new instruments to better track approaching storms, and exploring more a advanced forecasting service to get more "real-time" information.
