UPDATE: Arrest Made After Alleged Officer Assault In Cambridge

CAMBRIDGE, Md. - Cambridge Police have arrested a man who allegedly attacked an officer from behind. 24-year-old Rian Dion Johnson of Cambridge is now in police custody.

We first reported to you that Johnson allegedly came at the officer with a handgun on July 19th, while the officer was awaiting a tow truck for a DUI arrest on Cross Street.

Johnson now faces attempted 1st and 2nd degree murder, 1st and 2nd degree assault, and other related charges. He is currently being held on no bond.
