Ashley With Worcester Prep Students
SALISBURY, Md. - WMDT is saying goodbye to Weekday Evening Anchor Ashley James. Ashley will be joining WTOL in Toledo, Ohio. She has been with WMDT since June of 2010. She has worn many hats as Anchor, Reporter and Producer. Plus for over a year she has produced and hosted Good Things Delmarva, a public affairs program airing Sundays at 7:30AM.
While at WMDT, Ashley's work was recognized by the Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcasters Association for Outstanding Spot news for her work on the Lewes Tornado in 2011. She was also highly involved in the community. Ashley emceed the Free To Breathe Delmarva 5K Run in Rehoboth Beach two years in a row. Plus she raised money for the Cancer Support Community-Delmarva in 2011 by participating in the Delmarva Celebrity Dance-Off.
Ashley will be truly missed at the station and WMDT wishes her the best of luck with her new job. WMDT Weekend Anchor Emily Lampa will be taking over as Weekday Evening Co-Anchor with Terrence Lee in August.
