HARRINGTON, Del. - Now, as we all know - the fair is all about food and fun... And what's more fun than the rides? If your a thrill seeker - here's what you have in store. "Here we go!"
From high atop the Big Wheel - you can see all that Wade Shows has to offer. This year, they have 55 rides at the Delaware state fair, and they took us on a tour of the biggest and best.
Next stop - the "White Water" flume ride. I wasn't sure about getting all wet - so I sent my photographer Josh Finamore and our intern Greg Westen on first. But I gave in - and with the heat - I'm glad I did.
Then it was off to the "Crazy Cat." A roller coaster, back after 5 years, newly refurbished. And the mega drop needs absolutely no explanation.
The Super Himalaya - may not be new - but it's a crowd pleaser. "It's the most popular ride!"
And somehow, Greg convinced me to get on "the Zipper." "oh, my God." And I almost didn't make it out alive! "I'm gonna puke!!" But we survived!
And it was off to the grand finale - the brand new ride this year - The Sky Hawk. "oh, my God, we're getting up high!" It was so much fun - I went on again with these brave kids! "Thanks so much for riding with me!"
Now if waiting in line is not really your thing - Wade shows offer this... it's a gold access card. It gets you past the lines, and other perks like food discounts at the midway. It'll cost you a little extra, but worth it - if you're not the patient type.
