Kids Using Cake Mix Competition

HARRINGTON, Del. - It's Healthy Kids Day at the fair, and it is a hot one today. But the kids didn't let it get them down. Children of all ages showed off their culinary talents in the annual "Kids Using Cake Mix" competition.

Dozens of kids put their baking and decorating skills to the test. We spoke to some little ones about why they entered. Mary Ratledge, a baker, says "I can mix so fast - like that fast! Really really really fast." and Gracyn Nott, a baker, says "I've been wanting to try it for some time - but we never had cake mixes, thought this was a good time to try it. Was it fun? I enjoy baking and it was so easy."

There were 3 different winners today, from separate age groups. Congratulations Katelan Russum who took first place in the 5 to 9 age group. Cierra Yeatman for 10 to 12. And Mary Troyer for the 13 to 18 age group.
