Jordan Cropper
PITTSVILLE, Md. - A Parsonsburg man is behind bars after allegedly attempting to escape police custody.
The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office reports that a deputy pulled over Jordan Cropper,19, after he was driving recklessly while leaving a loud party in Pittsville. The deputy says they smelled burnt marijuana, which lead them to search the car, and find two baggies of marijuana.
The deputy arrested, then handcuffed Cropper, and put him in the patrol car. They say that while handcuffed, Cropper managed to turn around, unlock the door, get out of the patrol car and run. The deputy says they caught Cropper and had to physically put him back into the car.
Cropper is charged with possession of marijuana, 2nd degree escape, and resisting arrest. He is being held at the Detention Center on $3,000 bond.
