Newark Doctor Charged With Unlawful Sexual Contact

WILMINGTON, Del. - A Delaware doctor has been indicted on multiple sex charges.

Newark Doctor Pierre Leroy, 84, was arrested in May after Newark Police received a report from a patient of unlawful sexual contact by a doctor, that investigation lead to Leroy's indictment on 20 counts, involving a total of six adult victims.

The charges include 3rd degree unlawful sexual contact, and other related offences. Leroy turned himself in to authorities on Friday, was arraigned in Superior Court, and then released after posting $40,000 bond. Leroy's medical licence has been suspended since May 8th.

The investigation into these incidents is on going, and authorities are asking anyone with information to call Newark Police at 302-366-7110.
