Missing Townsend Man Found Dead

DOVER, Del. - The body of a missing man has been found in a local creek.

DNREC Fish and Wildlife Enforcement reports that on the afternoon of Friday July 20th, John Fisher, 45, of Townsend, had gone crabbing on his boat on Blackbird Creek. His family reported him missing early Saturday morning.

Authorities searched through the day and night before Fisher's body was found around 11 AM Sunday. They say he wasn't wearing a life jacket. The Delaware Medical Examiner's Office is investigating the cause of death.
