HARRINGTON, Del. - Local kids showed off their skills in a talent show Sunday. There were 20 contestants, in two different age brackets - 13 to 16, and 17 to 21. They performed in front of a large crowd. Each contestant had 4 minutes on stage to impress the 3 judges, each with musical backgrounds.
Piano player, Christian Johnson, says "I love music in general and piano is the first instrument that I started with and its my favorite. I get nervous but also I like to, not show off but just show what I can do."
Singer, Karen Burd, says "I just love the fair and I love to sing, its a great environment everyone's great here, its like an expression. It gets people going, you can like really sing your heart out, you get to sing stuff that you really care about."
Grand prize winners: Sarah Ann Garrison - Age 13 Lewes, DE and Jack Crescenzo - Age 20 Wilmington, DE. The winners in both age groups went home with a $250 cash prize!
