HARRINGTON, Del. - We haven't had the most ideal weather at the fair so far, and although the rain kept numbers down yesterday, it cooled down temperatures, and the crowds started to roll in.
Fair coordinators tell us they're expecting a big turnout for the weekend. Hallie Moore, marketing coordinator, says "there's not only a lot of tourism that comes in, we do see a lot of fair goers and patrons from Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. Then we have representatives from over 22 other states. We keep track of zip codes actually at our main gate - all of our gates to keep track of who's coming to the fair."
For more information on the fair, concert weather cancellations, and to receive emergency weather text alerts, go to the Delaware State Fair Website. And don't forget we will be broadcasting live every night of the Fair in Exhibit Hall at 6 PM.
