SALISBURY, Md. - Mud was everywhere at Camp Odyssey Friday afternoon, it's a day campers look forward to all year.
But at Fridays Mud Madness, a mud pioneer is being remembered. She went by the name of Queen Nerd, but in January Jamie Landon passed away. A major part of the camp for years.
"She was a huge part of this event she was special to all of us very very special," assistant councilor Joe Hastings tells WMDT.
Missed but not forgotten, mud T-shirts are being sold, all the profits going into the Jamie Landon Scholarship. Funds raised will help under privileged children go to camp, so that they can make memories like these last a lifetime.
There will be a silent auction at the Shorebirds game on July 28th.
All proceeds will go towards the scholarship fund.
