MILFORD, Del. - Police are investigating a four vehicle accident that happened Friday morning in Milford.
Delaware State Police say that the crash was a chain reaction that happened on SR 1 Southbound near the US 113 split. They say that Clarence Cartwright, 20, Milford, was driving a Mitsubishi Mirage, when he didn't stop in time and crashed into the back of a Jaime Soliven, 37, of New Jersey, who was driving a Lexus. This caused a chain reaction involving two more vehicles.
Police say that all the vehicles stayed in the right line, and traffic was effected for an hour and a half until the crash was cleared. Soliven, and his two passengers, were all wearing seat belts, but had to be taken to Milford Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. None of the other people involved needed medical attention. Cartwright was cited for inattentive driving and no proof of insurance.
