UPDATE: Two Vehicle Accident On SR 24 In Lewes

LEWES, Del. - An investigation into a two vehicle accident that happened Friday morning in Lewes, is still on going.

Delaware State Police report that Beverly Hawkins, 64, of Pennsylvania, was sitting in the median of SR 24 near Bryn Mawr Drive, in her Toyota Sienna, waiting to pull into Eastbound traffic, when her car was hit by Christopher Hubler, 30, of New Jersey, who was driving West on SR 24.

Police say that Hubler was driving a Ford F-350 pick-up truck, and began to swerve into the median before hitting Hawkins.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts and were both taken to Beebe Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Charges are pending in this incident. Traffic was impacted in the area for an hour and half before the scene was cleared.
