
DOVER, Del. (AP) - A state economic development panel is considering requests for taxpayers to help foot the bill for infrastructure improvements related to various development projects.
Among the applications to be considered Tuesday morning by the state's Infrastructure Investment Committee was a request by the Greater Dover Committee for $3.6 million to be used for infrastructure needs related to the proposed Kent Count Regional Sports Complex.
The committee also will consider a request by Churchmans Associates LLC for about $4.4 million for infrastructure needs related to the New Castle Town Center Project.
The Delaware Academy of Science is asking for more than $500,000 in taxpayer funds for infrastructure needs involving the Iron Hill Science and History Museum project.
