Parsonsburg Man Charged With Rape

SALISBURY, Md. - A man is behind bars after allegedly raping a woman. The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office reports that a deputy met with a woman who told them that she had been raped on a dirt lane off Crooked Oak Road.

The deputy went to the area that the woman said, and found a man sitting in a car, and both the suspect and the car matched the victim's description.

An investigation further collaborated the victim's story, and the deputy arrested Handy Cornish, 31, Parsonsburg. He has been charged with 1st degree rape, and is being held at the Detention Center without bond.
