LEWES, Del. - A robbery suspect has been arrested after allegedly both trying and succeeding to breaking into homes in Lewes and Harbeson.
Delaware State Police say that a woman called them on June 18th to report that a man, dressed in all black and wearing a mask, was in the living room of her Chatham Street home, but the suspect fled through a back door before troopers could arrive. The victim called police several more times, after seeing the masked man in a white car, this time, behind her home.
On July 11th, troopers responded to a call from a woman on Woodcrest Drive, in Harbeson, who heard noise and saw a flashlight near her air conditioner unit. The victim and a friend were able to chase the suspect away, and watched him run to a Harmon Hill Road home, where he got into a white car, and they took down his plate number.
An investigation lead to the arrest of Henry Dukes Jr., 41, of Georgetown, who was then charged with 2nd degree burglary, stalking, 3rd degree criminal trespass, and other related offences. He has been released after posting $10,001 bond.
