Boogie Board Ban Temporarily Lifted In Ocean City

Posted: Updated:

OCEAN CITY, Md. - Boogie boarders in Ocean City, now have a bit more freedom. A ban on boards between 44 to more than 72 inches long has been lifted but only temporarily. This decision was brought on by the growing popularity of these new board styles and several complaints about the ban. The City is working with the Beach Patrol to gain feedback from local surf shops and business owners to be better informed about this style of board and potentially make amendments to the Town Code. Further discussion will take place at the council meeting Monday at 6.
