SALISBURY, Md. - An online petition is now gaining momentum in Salisbury, over downtown revitalization. Mayor Jim Ireton spear-headed this effort yesterday, to quote "send Council Leadership the message that they have to stop voting NO on progress in Salisbury."
In 24 hours, the website already has more than 300 signatures. The goal is to have 1,000.
The Mayor says his downtown revitalization plan will create jobs, bring new businesses, reduce negative impact on the Wicomico River and reduce property taxes.
