Dorchester County Burn Ban Issued

DORCHESTER CO., Md. - A local county is reminding residents of a burn ban. Dorchester County's open air burn ban is still in effect. The ban is in effect indefinitely. All current burn permits have been rescinded until further notice.

The ban covers all outdoor ignition sources and ground-based sparking devices. The proper use of gas and charcoal grills, campfires, permitted Ocean City bonfires, and public fireworks displays are all still permitted. The ban will remain in effect until the dry conditions dissipate.
