SALISBURY, Md. - Salisbury's first fireworks show in six years lit up the sky last night. "Red, White and Boom" has turned out to be quite a success. There was about 18 vendors lining up Wayne street, not to mention tons of activities and music. While exact numbers haven't come down yet, officials say all the reports they've been receiving have exceeded their expectations.
"We're estimating based on what we saw the number of parking spaces all over the place we think about 10,000 people came out last night," said Mike Dunn, chair of "Red, White and Boom."
While all the fun may be over - the planning for next year's event has just begun. Dunn says they're looking at trying to top this year's show, and hope to raise more funds to do it!
