Pedigree Recalls Canned Dog Food

WMDT 47 NEWS - A pet food company has issued a recall. Giant Food of Landover is following a recall that was announced by Mars Petcare US and removing some pet food from their shelves.

The food is Pedigree weight management canned dog food, the cans say Pedigree Healthy Weight Premium Ground Entrée, 13.2 oz., UPC 2310034974. With expiration dates of 2/24/2014 and 3/23/2014.

The food may have small blue pieces of plastic, which poses a potential choking risk. Customers who have purchased the product should discard any unused portions or bring their purchase receipt to Giant for a full refund.
