Hotel Housekeeper Arrested On Theft Charges

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. - Police arrest a hotel worker after he allegedly stole from guests.

Rehoboth Beach Police report that Jason Pettyjohn, 20, of Laurel was working as a housekeeper at Brighton Suites in Rehoboth, where five victims reported thefts including cash, jewelry, and clothing from their hotel rooms.

Police say that Pettyjohn was responsible for cleaning those rooms. They also say that other employees saw him looking through guests luggage and clothing.

Pettyjohn was charged with 5 counts of theft under $1500 and released. Anyone with additional information is asked to call Rehoboth Beach Police at 302-227-2577.
