PITTSVILLE, Md. - A house known for it's elaborate Christmas lights display is giving residents an early treat. For the first year, Pittsville Christmas has made a special display for the Fourth of July. WMDT got to walk through Monday and take a look at the amazing technology behind the show filled with 3,500 lights. The lights are set to music, and officials say it takes them about two hours per minute of music to set up. Every flash/blink/fade has to be hand sequenced into the program.
Pittsville Christmas has been doing it's Christmas display since 2007. For those programs, officials say it can take up to 50 hours to sequence.
You can catch the show now through July 4, beginning at 9 PM. The house is located on Morris Road at the intersection of Powell Road in Pittsville.
