Middletown Friendly's Destroyed By Fire

MIDDLETOWN, Del. - A building is a total loss after a mulch fire. The Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office reports that around 3:30 PM on Wednesday the Friendly's Restaurant on Dover Run Center Drive in Middletown, an accidental fire started in the mulch on the exterior of the building.

Officials have determined that it was an accident. The damages are estimated at $750,000, a total loss. The accident was occupied when the fire started, but everyone was safely evacuated and no injuries were reported.
