Pedestrian Killed Near Wicomico/Worcester Line

WORCESTER COUNTY, Md. - A pedestrian was killed Tuesday night near the Worcester/Wicomico County line. Authorities say 46-year-old Rodina Attaya was walking with another person on Saint Lukes Road just after 8PM. That's when they say a truck struck her from behind, sending her into a nearby field. Officials say she was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The Worcester County Sheriff's Office Crash Reconstruction Unit is investigating the accident, but say they don't believe alcohol was a factor.
