SALISBURY, Md. - A single vehicle accident in Salisbury sends five to the hospital. It all happened around 12 Tuesday afternoon where Lake Street turns in to Jersey Road.
Salisbury Fire Department says that the vehicle struck a utility pole, knocking down cable and phone lines. All five passengers were able to get out before the vehicle went up in flames. Because of the downed lines, firefighters had to wait for the clear to put out the blaze.
It is believed the vehicle is a total loss. The passengers were taken to PRMC with non life-threatening injuries. The roadway is expected to be shut down indefinitely in that area until the lines are repaired.
