Commercial Fisherman Arrested While Clamming

DEWEY BEACH, Del. - A local fisherman has been charged after fishing in a prohibited area.

DNREC Division of Fish and Wildlife Enforcement reports that they caught Dirk Moore, 51, of Lewes, who is a commercial fisherman, clamming in a polluted area.

He was charged with clamming in a prohibited area, resisting arrest, and failure to comply with a command from a police officer. He was released pending a later court date.
