GREENWOOD, Del. - A local power company has restored power to almost all of its customers after storms hit the area. Delaware Electric Cooperative has all but around 200 customers back up and running. They still have crews working to finish up and get power back for everyone.
They say that at the height of the storm around 7,000 customers were without power, but by 2 PM that number had shrunk to only 1,200. They say that a glitch in their computer system is exaggerating the number of outages on their website. The outages were due to downed trees and utility poles.
