CAMBRIDGE, Md. - Maryland State Fire Marshals are investigating a fire that ripped through a boat Monday morning in Cambridge. Smoke filled the skies as fire crews battled the blaze at the Yacht Maintenance on Hayward street.
The Robinsons' sent in these photos of the fire from a distance. Officials say it took about 30 firefighters and almost 2 hours to contain the flames.
Authorities report that a welder was working repairing the hull, when they say a spark ignited combustibles inside the 1967 Pasch 55' boat. Officials say it was accidental. The fire caused an estimated $500,000 in damages.
Officials say that no injuries were reported.
