UPDATE: Man Shot In Princess Anne, Shooter Still At Large

UPDATE: The hunt for a shooter who sent a man to the hospital with life threatening injuries, ends. Willie Beals turned himself in Saturday night after reportedly shooting Joshua Hill Friday. Beals is now in custody at the Somerset County Detention Center.  
  

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. - Princess Anne Police responded the Wink Ln Apartment parking lot for a call of shots fired and a man down.

When officers arrived on the scene they observed a white male later identified as Joshua Mark Hill laying down and bleeding from the head and neck area. Mr. Hill was able to tell Officers that old man Willie shot him. Officers obtained a tag number of a gold colored Ford Taurus MD Tag 8EZ F16 that was leaving the scene. The vehicle came back registered to the suspect Willie Winfred Beals with a 12235 Wink Ln Apt A Princess Anne, Maryland 21853. Officers determined the name of the suspect through their investigation on the scene.

A warrant has been obtained for the suspect Willie Winfred Beals  who is still at large.  A description of Beals and his vehicle has been given to all surrounding law enforcement agencies, and the warrant has been entered into the NCIC nationwide data base.

The victim, Joshua Hill, was transported to PRMC by EMS for treatment of his injuries. From PRMC Hill was flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore for treatment.
