Man Reportedly Tried To Run From Police After Assault - WMDT 47 News - Delmarva's Choice

SALISBURY, Md. - A man is accused of assaulting someone and then attempting to flee from the police. The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office reports that Willie McCloud, 35, of Halethorpe, Maryland, approached a person who was working on his car, and started assaulting the victim and shouting that the victim was messing up the car.

McCloud was reportedly gone from the scene when police arrived, but they say they later found him driving and attempted to pull him over. Police say that he pulled over, but then got out of the car, and fled on foot. They found and arrested McCloud, charged him with 2nd degree assault, attempt to flee and elude on foot, and driving while suspended. He is being held on $50,000 bond.
