Man Accused Of Attempting To Murder His Roommate

SALISBURY, Md. - A Salisbury man is behind bars after allegedly assaulting his roommate. The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office reports that a woman was trying to move out of a house that she shared with Timothy Mitchell.

They say she was packing up her stuff when Mitchell became enraged, started throwing things, and then assaulted the victim by holding her up against a wall by her neck. The victim reportedly lost consciousness and had to be helped out of the house by a friend.

Police arrested Mitchell and charged him with attempted 2nd degree murder, and other related charges. He is being held at the Detention Center on $500,000 bond.
