HEBRON, Md. - A Hebron man is behind bars after confronting two off duty police officers with a gun.
The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office reports that two off duty Salisbury Police officers were fishing off a bridge in Hebron, when they were approached by John Williamson, 61, of Hebron, who then pointed a gun at them, and told them to leave the area. Police say that the off duty officers then drew their weapons and told Williamson to drop his weapon, he then lowered his weapon and went back home.
Sheriff's deputies then contacted Williamson, he surrendered his weapon, was placed under arrest, and charged with 1st and 2nd degree assault, deadly weapon, and reckless endangerment. Williamson is being held at the Detention Center on $300,000 bond.
