OCEAN CITY, Md - More than 5,000 firemen took part in the Annual Fireman's Parade in Ocean City today.
The tradition caps off a-four-day event sponsored by the Maryland State Fireman's Association. Close to 400 parade entries participated including floats, and marching units. Officials say it's a fun way to end a very productive week.
Parade Marshall, Roger Steger, says "the parade is a major function of the convention, one it sort of ends the convention, every body's been here 3 days learning new techniques, listening to the business of the association...lot of people come to Ocean City just to watch the parade."
A member of the Maryland State Fire Association told us that the fireman's convention will be coming back to Ocean City through 2017.
