BALTIMORE, Md. - A Lewes man has been sentenced after robbing three Delmarva area banks. Robert McLaughlin, 39, was sentenced to nine years in prison, followed by three years of supervised release, after robbing two banks in Salisbury and one in Seaford.
The first robbery in December 2009 at the Citizens Bank on Sussex Highway in Seaford, the second was in February 2010 at the Shore Bank on S. Salisbury Boulevard in Salisbury, and the third robbery was in August 2010 at the Farmer's Merchant Bank of Willards on Milford Street in Salisbury.
The judge also ordered McLaughlin to pay a restitution of $7,448.
