SALISBURY, Md. - With the Chicken festival wrapping up Saturday, Centre at Salisbury officials are still tallying the weekend numbers. Managers of several stores inside the mall have told WMDT that business was booming the last two days. More than 30,000 people attended the Chicken festival this year, which helped boost sales beyond last years numbers for this weekend.
"Usually when there's activities in or around the mall, some of it could either helps or it kills us. And this weekend was very good," says the Manager of Zumiez.
"Its been great, its been I'd say booming. We've had good rushes the past two days, but especially yesterday I'd say," says the Manager of Aeropostle.
It has been about six years since the Delmarva Chicken Festival has been in the mall parking lot.
